Hey Ohio Youth!!
Do you love dairy goats? Would you like to help spread the word about dairy goats? If so, consider applying to be the 2022 ODGA Youth Ambassador. The youth ambassador position is open to Youth who are Ohio residents and members of ODGA. Age Divisions are based on the youth's 4H age as of January 1, 2022.
By applying for a Youth Ambassador position you are agreeing to attend as many ODGA events throughout the year as possible. Specifically, the Ohio State Fair Dairy Goat Show, the ODGA Buckeye Classic and the ODGA Fall Conference. The Ambassador may also attend any of the regional club shows representing ODGA. The Ambassador will also submit an article for the ODGA Newsletter for National Dairy Goat Awareness in June.
Submission deadline is October 8, 2022 Applicants will be interviewed before the 2022 Annual Meeting and Ambassadors will be announced at the meeting.

- The Junior Ambassador will be selected from contestants who are 13-15 years old on January 1, 2022.

- 35% participation in dairy goat related activities

2021 & 2022 ODGA Youth ambassadors
2021 ODGA's Youth Ambassadors are Taylor Gottfried are Lauren Gottfried. ODGA's 2021 youth representatives worked hard on their applications and were announced during the 2020 annual meeting on October 17, 2020. Congratulations to all of them! The youth ambassadors agree to attend as many ODGA events throughout the year as possible, specifically, the Ohio State Fair Dairy Goat Show, the ODGA Buckeye Classic and the ODGA Fall Conference. The Ambassadors may also attend any of the regional club shows representing ODGA. 2021 might be different because of the COVID-19 pandemic, but we will hope for the best.
Note: Because several opportunities were cancelled for 2021, Taylor and Lauren were asked to continue their time as Ambassadors and representing ODGA in 2022.

2018-2019 ODGA Ambassador Arika ZeiterArika Zeiter 14 year old from Holland, Ohio. She shows and raises LaManchas. She is an independent member of ODGA, Tri – State DGA, Goats & Udder Things 4-H Club; Historian, and Fulton County Jr. Fair Board member. She has been showing goats for the last 6 years in Open class and 4-H. What she likes most about Dairy goats is they are sweet, gentle, intelligent and curious creatures. She would like to see more youth shows take place with ODGA. As the ambassador she would like to promote the goat and Ohio youth activities at 4-H and other open shows. Please congratulate her if you see her out and about representing ODGA. We are pleased to have her as this years Ambassador.

Seth is from Newark Ohio and is a member of Mid-Ohio Dairy Goat Association, he is also a member of Goats “R” Us 4h club,and Utica FFA chapter. Seth has shown goats for 6 years.

Katelynn is from Salesville Ohio and is a member of East Central Ohio Dairy Goat Association, she is also a member of Salesville Stitch and Stock 4h club and Buckeye Trail FFA Chapter.
